I made a ship.
It has unique artwork for armor, reactor, starter weapon. It is very maneuverable, but only slightly faster than the sapphire. it has 3 armor segments.

Here are two. disregard the MW rating of the kenshi cutting laser. it was set to 5MW for testing. it will be more like 20MW when I release it in an upcoming weapons pack.

Those look great Mac, I like the humour with the LEGO reactor - you have a real knack for making these devices and such. Looks great! :D

I'm wondering though... so the Kenshi cutting laser will still be level 7 (even though it deals laser)? How does that work (maybe it has an effect?)

From the looks of it, at 30 shots a second, dual config = 60 bolts a second...I reckon that could be a wicked weapon. :twisted:

The problem with level VII lasers is most level VII armor (if not all) are immune to lasers. (level VI I think) It will be almost useless at the time it comes in.

The kenshi cutter has a very short lifetime of 5. your range is about 3 ship lengths. It is also multi target. Its intended use is for running through formations of enemies cutting them up at close range. It looks pretty sweet in action. There will be several different levels of cutting lasers. some will be single, some double, some double with multitarget. all will be omnidirectional.

is correct, will you make some particle beam versions or ion versions or cool stuff like that? I'd love to take down a Phobos with a LEGO cannon. :D

That kenshi cutter might have to come down to level 5.
When I put my weapons pack together, it will have numerous weapons of all types. ideas so far:

-omni cutting lasers, single
-omni cutting lasers, dual
-omni cutting lasers, dual multitarget
close range cut-em-up

-shotguns, single
-shotguns, double barrel
shotguns will be in either a full choke or cylinder choke

-blasters, single
-blasters, dual
these will be of several levels/colors

particle weapons, high fire rate

-infantry SAW
-vehicle MG
bubba'd up weapons of dubious combat effectiveness

limited traverse weapons for when an enemy is between two facings.

a good selection of dark matter guns, with various firing rates and configurations.

I find weapons easy to make. The only hard part is getting them balanced with the rest of the game.

Theoretically you can have any image as a missile, so if you rendered a brick you could fire out legos at high speeds. Great fun. The last thing you see is a million million plastic pieces slowly filling the cockpit around you... :twisted:

BTW that would be an interesting overlay you could do :wink:

If i knew how the existing weapons effects were done I could reproduce them with lego images. I would also make a RANGER CANNON that fires an image of a ranger tab and yells HOOAH!

I'd like to see you overwrite the WreckEjecta graphics and change it to random bits of LEGO. So when you shoot something, it ejects lego. Or, make your own (should be easy), so only when a LEGO ship is hit, does the LEGO eject. That way, if you start overwriting other enemy ships in a LEGO Total Conversion, you can swap over the vanilla wreck eject for LEGO eject. :D
