Location: Hmm... I'm confused. Anybody have a starmap to the Core?

There might be a dockscreen that gets called up before being napped where you could buy your freedom for a certain amount of time.

Another update to Slave Furnace will come tomorrow.

About the Napper:
It has a hard time catching mobile targets. If used against friendly targets that do not fight back, the player will likely get arrested after the Napper does its work. Against enemy ships, they will likely need to paralyzed (with EMP) first. Also, the enemy may fire at the auton. In any case, the Napper cannot penetrate shields. The Napper will instakill most ships that are not capital ships if it successfully grabs a victim.

If the Napper was to be used against the player, it could be made to break devices (such as patcher arms, patch spiders, ICX, Longreach, and the like) instead of killing the player. If all devices are broken, the Napper will instakill the player.

The Napper would be useful for the Sung, but I probably would need to overwrite something to make them carry them. Even if I do not need to overwrite anything, I would not bother with it now. The purpose of the mods in Slave Furnace is to let the player act like a malicious jerk.

One more thing: I almost called the Napper the Jacker, but did not because the Napper is a test case for a possible auton for the next release of Playership Drones, if what I have planned works out. The planned auton for Playership Drones would be called the Jacker. It would be a military auton that would hijack a non-capital ship, kill the pilot, and turn the hijacked ship into a drone. No need to blow up a ship then rebuild (unless you want a capital ship). Just take it!

Uploaded an update to Slave Furnace, then renamed the mod to Slaver Pack 912. The update adds a new mod, called Deadly Doctor, to the pack. It lets the player use a portable autodoc to harvest organs from a slave coffin. To use the autodoc as a murder machine, go to the ship's cargo hold and highlight the autodoc. If your ship has slave coffins, a new option should appear. If so, try it!

I really enjoy your mods. I wonder could you make a fuel tanker that could be set to seek stations or carry fuel rods and automatically refuel you or refuel when you dock with it? If I could remember how to code I would try it myself lol

To jamieboi2005: You want a ship that follows you around and refuels you on demand? There are mods that feature this sort of thing. One I made is a minor god mod called Shenlong that gives the player an indestructible EI7000 that serves as a super mule (that can loot stuff for you). If you use it, stuff it full of fuel rods and call it a day.

To WillyTheSquid: I finished a new weapon mod and updates to some other mods, but their release is held up as I finish updating Items Pack 912. I should have the updates ready to upload later today.

Great!! Will they require a restart? 'cause I've grown pretty attached to PartyBot mk1 (adv Solaris armor, Yoroi S100 shield, dual partison cannon, NAMI enhancer), just past Rigel.

Uploaded a new mod Nano Injector. This one is for Shrike. It rots armor and shatters ships, as described in Shrike's Ultimate Overhaul. Link added at the first post.

Also uploaded updates to Ore Scanning Program, Items Pack 912, and Slaver Pack 912. In addition, Ore Scanning Laser has been deleted.

Brief summation of the updates:
Ore Scanning Program: Weakened advanced scanner. It no longer detects everything while on the move, only low level ore.
Items Pack 912: Items were added, changed, or removed. Ore Scanning Laser was moved to here as an optional file. Restart required.
Slaver Pack 912: Fixed UNID conflict with Items Pack 912. Restart required.

Okay, sending Nappers after Ferians is an excercise in patience. Pfffft. They keep going in circles for up to 5-10 minutes. Persistent little buggers, those nappers -- I have to respect that kind of tenacity. _O_

*edit* I might have an interesting idea for a feature in the Auton Assembly Hangar mod. What if you could recycle player-made Autons into their component parts? Possibly with a chance of losing or damaging the equipment (higher level = more complicated = more chance of losing it).

Nappers attempt to "gate" into the target. You need EMP or something similar to immobilze a target ship constantly on the move.

For the playership to recycle autons, they would need to dock with the player. I would either need to give the auton custom ship code or overwrite the common auton ship code autons inherit from. Since the point of assembled autons is to behave like normal autons (with custom equipment) and not as competent wingmen, I have plans for neither.

Uploaded new mod Mining Cheat. With a single command, this takes everything buried in every asteroid and stuffs them into the playership, regardless of capacity. Needless to say, this is a godmod. Made for those who are too lazy to mine even with aids provided by other mods.

Updated Relief Pack 912 to include another new mod, Buying Limits Shown. It shows the player how to get full price for an item from a station.

Also uploaded minor update to Items Pack 912. It fixes a minor bug with a weapon.
(Update: And yet again to fix a UNID conflict. Restart recommended.)
