Are the default playerships getting old? Looking for a change? Maybe something a little harder? Maybe something a little easier? Maybe just a little different?
No slow, overpowered capital ships here. They still fit the game. They're ships a lone pilgrim could pilot. Your ship is just a little faster and a lot more fragile. Or tough as nails but steers like a boar. Or somewhere in between. Fly a freighter that can turn fast enough to aim, cross a binary star system in less than an hour, but still feels slow and massive. Fly a gunship that removes many of your accustomed options from the running.
Or at least lovingly hand crafted spaceships that are properly antialiased and look good on the ship selection screen.
