Weve all done it at some point. Weve had a really nice game going, then we press new game instead of load game.

How about a "Overwrite current game?" if you already have a save of that name? Makes it a bit more user friendly

Yes, agreed, i've done it and it's stupid human behaviour. Only the computer can save me from myself.

If I remember correctly, if you accidentally click new game, as long as you don't save out of the game, you can self destruct in Eridani and your previous save game should be in the main screen.

thats not right, when you click"new game" by accident your game is lost, even if you self-destruct at eridani. If you self-destruct the saved game desapears

Yeah, there appears to be ablsolutely *no* way to recover from accidentally clicking "new". I tried the following:

- Self destruct
- Alt-tab and copy (file foo.sav is locked)
- Force quit (ALT-F4)

All result in the new game save overwriting the old one. This is a pretty serious problem.
