the one you are thinking of doesn't fix alot of the items. I would like it if the regular ringer stations fixed items (to give them more to do)
Crying is not a proper retort!

I don't know items who fix damaged devices.
If im have damaged (rare) device is no option to repair it, and replace it with undamaged is not ideal. Non-solve problem in event if replaced item is damaged again, and in this event im must have one (or more) devices to spare.
And this consumes valuable cargo space.

Czert, if you dont know which i mean try experimenting with using items.
It's a fact new weapons were introduced and they can often not be repaired. But if it only takes 200,000 credits or 20,000 rin to do the job at one of the shipyards it gets too easy. A new attribute could be added that determines whether a damaged weapon or item can be repaired or that it's damaged beyond repair. I'm thinking high odds so like a 20% chance it's repairable, only once. Odds could depend on type of shipyard also.

I like the low chance of repairing. You could also have a DIY repair kit with an even lower chance, but you can use it on the fly
