Bring back the screensaver!

Many of the newer people to the game won't know this, but there's actually a Transcendence Screensaver, based off (I think) the Version 1.0 engine. Or at least...there was. It's no longer available for download because of the changes to the website knocking out the download URL. It also had a few problems (a small memory leak in one of the early 1.0x versions would have affected it), and would be really out of date today.



It wouldn't exactly be a high priority, but it'd be really cool if a new screensaver got made some time in the future. The old one was pretty popular back in 2010 and I kinda miss it.

That would be really nice!

I'm still using the old screensaver on the only Windows machine I use, the laptop I got from work. Screensaver still works fine on Windows 7. But an upgraded vesion would be an excellent idea.

I'd forgotten all about this. Never used it myself because the one inside of the game was always running on my computer anyway. That one is still there isn't it? I used to love watching my ship mod fight off all comers before finally being subdued by a giant swarm.
