The way the Sentinels are currently, I think they give off a sense of overwhelming strength to most players, while still leaving them a viable way to prevail. They're there to show the might of the Iocrym while not making victory completely impossible for the player.

There should be a way to win, clearly. Nobody's arguing against that. I don't believe that the sole means of beating them should involve holding down the fire key for an excessive amount of time while facing no risk of retaliation, however.

Definitely going to try to see whether jumpdrives can be added to the things as my next project.

You guys do remember that the Iocrym will 'hunt the player once it destroys everything else?

but you are correct that the ships on a mission to attack, like every other ship in game won't really defend itself effectively against a defense.

However - if they had escorts ... then you could be talking some challenge to stop the lead ship.

Lead ( plumbum ) = "Liquid Silver", or


Lead = charge ahead, as in first, or navigate ahead of others

Led is just plain wrong because you can't "ran and led" at the same time because it's past tents and you wake people up !!
