show how much damage is taken by damaged item/device - in % or colors (green light damage, orange medium, red heavy, black - unrepairable damaged (destoyed)).
My English, may be poor, but better than yours Czechs.

I believe at the minute there are only three kinds of damage; undamaged, damaged 20% and completely damaged.

Adding more damage types would be a great idea, and would add more flexibility to EMP-type guns, and the Ion Blaster.

Idea : how about item/device who prevents taking damge to devices (works as device-protected armors), but adding this ability to ship witout this armors. The device/item - would be another(special) shield or reinforced struckural integrity field/hull or special type armor (which comsumes device slot).
and next idea - double armor outer/interior - devices coul be damaged only if is outer armor destroyed.
But secoun layer of armour can be added on special stations (ringers?) or requires new type ship ?
Of course, outer armor can be limited only to level VII and nonmilitary.
