I was hiding under a planet while a pair of Deimos' and a phobos tried very hard to kill me, and a makayev plant fired away at them (to virtually no effect). THen the plant explodes, takes out one (possibly both) of the destroyers, blasts me off the planet....where the phobos one-shots me within a tenth of a second.

Something that happened at this particular time (and there was a LOT of stuff exploding at this time) seems to have made the savefile impossible to use for a resurrection. It throws the following error ingame and in the debug log.

Code: Select all

04/07/2013 23:01:51	Anderson-8319.sav: System 18: 1 undefined object reference:
Reference: 289481

Here's the savefile

Edit: other things occuring:

1. Gaians, ranx and a LOT of other stuff suiciding on the CSC Terra.
2. I'd just skipped Point Juno due to having crap equipment, shouldn't have caused issues.
3. I'd just come out of quite a heavy battle to kill the shipyard that spawned the capships, then a second heavy battle to take out the gunships and damage the capital ships. Nothing unusual happened, however.

Sounds like a really awesome vanilla game. :D

It was, right up until the savegame was killed.
