Taikon can't install it neither can CSCs. Only the Ringers docks can. Seriously messes up playing when we all know there are created games with just a single or two Ringers Drydocks present in the Ungoverned or Ares controlled systems.

Taikon should be able to install any Taikon brand item (including IM90) or any other device up to level 9, unless the xml changed. If not, it probably is a bug.

Hmm. Digging through the code, comments seem to imply that the techCriteria and maxTechLevel must *both* be met for an install.
Let me go test it and I'll append the results...
Yep, Taikon 'do not have the technology' to install a TK10 Trident cannon (the cheapest thing I could grab from Eridani). So they can only install stuff ((=<TL9) AND (Taikon branded))

I'm in Point Juno wondering what next to do. Because even the Taikon200 deflector is not Taikon installable(go ahead and check it guys). Point Juno won't. Seems everything was given to the Ringers to tinker in this version.
By the way if Point J or other CSCs can install Iocrym tech, why not Taikons?(checked iocrym shield & armor; both are CSC positive)

Most stations can install ANY armor. You're really just bolting a plate of material onto the ship after all. Repair is the tricky part.
As for the Iocrym veil, it's not nearly as high level as the Taikon-200.
That said, Taikon not being able to install their own equipment does sound like it needs to be changed.
