Point Juno Mision Complete
This was odd, and has happened on other versions where the mission is complete even though I'm not on a mission. Do I still get credit?

It's mission complete when the Ares main fleet is driven off/destroyed. Not sure if it's a bug or intended, and not sure if you can further the storyline.

Ok I went back and got the rank to finish the task that was already finished and they thanked me for the task. The next phase then went ahead as if nothing was wrong.
