Gusoku Armor had a habit of dropping in Eridani in 0.99C......I'm not usre if it still does this in RC2. If it does, it's BRILLIANT (especially if you can get centauri nanos from Arco/his base/elsewhere)

I remember getting an ion flame cannon in st.k's once... and a katana...
the flame cannon might be useless in lategame, but for dealing with mid-game ships (especially big ones), it's not too shabby (does eat horribly at your reactor though...)

I've had that as well.....although I've never liked the Ion Flame cannon, and the katana isn't a weapon i like that much......the only Ion weapon I've used in RC2 and liked so far is the Xenophobe Ion Lancer....


It's quite funny to see Black Strelka missiles turn up in Rigel, and NOWHERE else (almost) sometimes......although not so funny when you're wanting a few hundred to chuck at the Ares....

X-ray laser canon in Eridani. This was back before the ship classes got split, and reactors were still 10/100/1000 only. But that was sure a fun playthrough. X-ray laser is not balanced for the early game.

Hyperion reactor in the first system past st. K's (not a drop as such, but it was a random item in a store). That was RC1, I think.

4 worldship armor plates in the third system. This made the arena difficult because I never took damage and the crowd was always bored.
I sailed through past st. Ks with out ever taking a hit. All my cash went into finding the biggest weapons which, unfortunately was a Mark 1 and a shuriken with no enhancements. I was so utterly disappointed at my lack of offensive choices. The ventari turned me inside out pretty quick.

4 light iocyrm plates 1 system before sanctuary in a taikon and then learning they can regenerate (my other thread). any time i get an intact 250 from the ventari is good times too (ion reflector + particle ftw). my earliest ventari encounter is 1 system after st. ks. i avoided that side of space like the plague.

8) I love it when there is a friendly station right next to the gate... Taikon and ringer are the best. Auto-farmed ventari: does it get any better than that?

Yeah, manually farmed Ventari before ringers or Taikon stations start appearing.

As do CSC's (if you don't mind them misfiring and shooting themselves from time to time...)

It usually shows up to late to be useful, but I found a ballista cannon in Eridani. To make it even better, Starton had a cannon accelerator!
Unfotunately, there were no good shields anywhere, I used a monopole past rigel and eventually succumbed to a drake and it's Viking-IIs.

An accelerated Ballista VS arko. Hmmm. That must be fun.
