I have been searching through the forums and whatnot and have come to a conclusion that I wanted to verify:
Am I correct that there is currently no way to recharge/reload the Gaian Demolition Cannon? If there is, and I have missed it, what is this weapon's ammo?

I think to reload it you have to get more ammo, you can replicate it at a terraton fabricator. But the gun is almost useless at that level. I always sell it for a few rin.

It is 98% useless. It fetches some rin with the teratons however.

The Gain's are just plain weird. o_O
They're horrible to destroy - with all the armour segments, you can be firing for ages at it and do no damage at all.

Personally, I like to fire at the front of the ship. It's a bit easier to hit consistently.

I just go for everywhere - they're big and slow, so flying round and round, laying into it with some mines, or missiles and a good quality lighting gun (my preffered mid-late game weapon) tends to get it down...at the end of the day, you just want to steal it's gun and armour to sell for some rin.Drako Slyith wrote:Personally, I like to fire at the front of the ship. It's one of the good things about Transcendence that there are so many strategies on how defeat different enemies, from the weak ones up to large ones, and especially the late-to-end game period, where everyone's strategies differ, on how the make money, what they choose to buy or upgrade and how they tackle the bigger ships.Bobby wrote:I focus all my fire on the front of most big ships too, that way all the damage is on the same armor segment or three, and they die much faster (not to mention drop more undamaged armor segments). With Gaians(sp) I match velocity and shoot from behind, though.
My favorite anti-Gaian strategies.
1) Drop crate near Ringer station. Crate attracts the Gaians like moths to a flame, and the Ringers fry them to a crisp in seconds.
2) Get behind a Gaian, trail it, and open fire. Easy, but tedious without overpowered guns.
3) Switch to a +150% Fracture Cannon, and let it rip. Watch the Gaian die after a second or two.

Gaians are weird dudes they use meteorsteel armor like those in xenophobes. Resist everything except plasma, positron, antimatter, ion, thermo. Better use any of these unless u wanna fire it 4 an eternity. Still they r weak compared 2 d dreadnoughts!

If I give the Gaian Demolition Cannon to Davlin would he be impressed or happy or just give me a better gift at Rasiermesser? I have one right now after blowing up that cork stopper looking ship. He-he-he.
Seriously I dunno what to do with it (350 MW for 78 hp).
