I have seen that once and I laughed to myself merrily at the chaos that ensued within the ring :D

And also, welcome Ultimate Chicken

1. They wouldn't care because it wasn't stated in the rules that it's only a 1v1 match.

See: Gladiator fights(which means if your enemy still won with the two of you there... Well, that's just really shameful)

2. You can sell them at BM, really. They're 2000+ something credits.

3. Ever heard of "Thrill of the hunt?"

And to the arena shield guy.

Well, if it was possible to put it in ships, why didn't they do it?

I think it's because they won't be able to shoot weapons with those shields in them... If they can, then that would be their ultimate weakpoint. And also, those arena shields has some weird composition that pulls your ship closer to them... So I think piling them in stacks too close to each other would make... Them repel each other... or something.

Then, a new ship came into dock. He offered you a few tons of ice. Thanks. Now at least when people died of hunger, their drinks wouldn't be cold. Great.

Why? You can chop up ice to put in drinks. It's not that hard.

Ice doesn't exactly make drinks not cold.

Oh, ok. Well, maybe the ice has a bit of uranium in it. Then the drinks are very not cold :D

Friendly stations do not mind friendly fire from anyone... except the player. Friendly NPC ships can shoot the station as much as they want without consequence, but the player gets blacklisted and fired upon if he tries it.

Your right that they don't care about anyone else, however I think that could either be because those ships are to protect the station and are hired, and your not. So become a hired hand a station for a while idea or make it so all ai can become pirates (then we got a commonwealth pirate group that could easy form)

You are beating me in the head with the things I am learning of the game: the details that come at you suddenly in thre night and you ask " what the?....... "

Slaves: to be purchased and donated or set free: I get this, BUT : If they work for the Sung, Why can't they work for YOU? ;
never got arrested for slaves, but never went to a station with them, I had a few Fortresses set them free on me . And: the Sisters will take them , so will the Hauri : but you do not get credit with the Hauri for extra slaves.....34 extra slaves and all I get is this stupid T Shirt?

Arena : I tested the Wingmen in a Arena : the Arena will say you hid in the corner IF YOU DO NOT FIRE A SHOT. ( my wingmen are pretty capable ships , I can fly most systems with them and never fire a shot : but only when I am trying to search for signs of a new mod or a report of something that I wanted to see if it is in my game: otherwise I leave them in the box.)

In the Arena, I was looking for the hole in the fence : true, I did not have to activate the Arena to find it, but it was more fun. And it does behave as an entrance : as if it was supposed to be an official part of the fence just never got posted like the Main entrance.

Spoiler:
Rewards are given after freeing the 12th slave and the 24th slave. The most useful reward possible are longzhu spheres. The other possible rewards are junk. Freeing slaves after the 24th yields no benefit. At that point, slaves should be donated if the player needs more Domina powers. If player still has slaves after freeing 24 of them and gaining all Domina powers, they should be fed to the fabricator. Slaves count as five food items per coffin. Whatever you do, NEVER sell slaves because that may get the player arrested for slave trading.

Wouldn't that be terrible for the slaves, following PM's advice:

Code: Select all

You walked up to the extensive rack of slaves. After counting out 24, you had them taken from the ship by his robotic dock-bots. The remaining slaves took on an expression of joy, upon thinking they would be set free.

After flying across the system, you returned to the cargo bay. The slaves expressions of joy inside their confinement coffins turned into overwhelming excitement, expecting to be set free.

Selecting the first one, the cargo-bots lifted the coffin and carried it after you. The person within's joy could almost be felt outside the coffin.

Smiling, you entered the central chamber of the station. After being given the order, the bots tilted the coffin towards the central pit, preparing to throw it in. The slave's line of sight reached the central pit. After a moment of confusion, what was really happening dawned on him. The slaves screams were silent due to the sound-proof coffin.

The mass of writhing tentacles inside the pit began to reach out. The bots surrendered their charge. The tentacles began to constrict the coffin. For a brief moment the slaves screams were audible, before the tentacles slid through the shattered glass and dragged the neo-human into the center of the creature, where with a sickening crunch the screams stopped.

You returned to your ship with your bots and chose the next coffin. Behind you, a gentle purr came from the creature, and you turned to see a new weapon. Your bots grabbed it, then deposited it in the cargo bay and picked up the next slave.

Eight hours later, your hold was empty of slaves. You had gathered several hundred thousand in weapons delivered by the tentacle mass.

After a brief scan, you set off towards the nearest sung slave camp...

It is terrible, but you get rewarded generously for it, and it is far more profitable than selling slaves. What is more, the game does not keep track of it, unlike donating, freeing, or selling slaves. Of the resources required by the fabricator, food is the most difficult resource to replenish.

That said, I have not played a game yet where I had so many slaves that I could afford to feed the pit with slaves. Using slaves to gain Domina powers is priority one. Maybe if I play a full game with The Network mod...

Yeah, in my playthroughs of the Network I've found that when I suck everything out of one branch, I can go back and pull it all out of another branch. Still, even in the Network I haven't ever had many slaves. I tend to just donate medical supplies and gems.

(To Draco Slyith) The story was an enjoyable read. The protagonist is a munchkin who would make a complete monster proud.

Welcome to the world of D&D in space, where the point is to kill things and take their stuff. It is a world where munchkins thrive, and morality merely determines the color of your lightsaber. Good is only good because the top dog of team Blue says so, who may be just as much a monster as those on team Red.

I activate the Arena :

But THEN: I get an idea and having the Arena Active is a " got to hurry up" thing before I forget the plan of the Idea of what I want to do : like become a Smuggler and run missions for the Black market; Or go ahead and take that embarrassing waste of Fleet resources called the Lamplighter and basically do a suicide run trying to use it on Ares ( I swear those Clones were laughing at me ):
------------

And the Smuggler thing: I have yet to discover the part where you get that Smuggler title and the Sov. allowances that a Smuggler ship has to go to stations otherwise Hostile and trade with them / deliver for them..........

In the Mission framework I got yesterday there are missions for the Black Market that involve a Hostile Asteroid : but without the Sov / relationship thing going on they try to kill the messenger.

However , it was still fun and I think I just keep missing that element because of my ship's level of experience or something at those times : ( I destroyed that Asteroid : and when I docked, they THANKED ME for the delivery : made me roll laughing : but I enjoy the mod just the same, it is a great addition to the game and a good thing for new players)

So If the game actually has that Sov relationship element in it for the player to gain: I would not mind any tips to gain it : If not: no big deal, it's still fun.
