Any help would be very much appreciated.
On a different note, I've encountered a problem with TransData.
Seems like it won't let me decompile Trancendence.tdb using command prompt. (Unable to open.)
Both files are in the same folder.
Tried with 1.6 B2 and 1.5 Stable.
I've seen some posts saying different versions of TransData are required.
Tried with latest version which should be 2.8.1.
Still nothing.
So, do I need to revert to an older Transcendence and/or TransData version?
(In that case, TransData needs an update, I guess.)
Is it working for anyone else?
A couple of questions...

Try grabbing a new copy of TransData from here. I think you’ll find version 3.2.2 to be a bit more cooperative.
EDIT: …3.3.2, actually. Apparently I was a behind an update or two on that, myself.

GAH, I can't even read! Turns out I've already tried version 3.3.2 before by downloading from the official site, but failed to realize it was the newest version you now mentioned. Since the zip file you download has no version markings and only after you run it in cmd you can see the TransData verion number, and I failed to notice that. Then I found another link that had a version marked 2.8.1 and assumed that was the latest.AssumedPseudonym wrote: Try grabbing a new copy of TransData from here. Long story short, already tried 3.3.2, still not working. Same thing happens.
Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done.

I'm not sure of the symptoms, but maybe your installation directory requires elevated privileges to write to. In other words, you may try running the command prompt as administrator and see if TransData works in that case.

Sai: while you're on IRC you should also ask about the transfers issue.
Q: are there error messages? What steps are you taking to deconpile Trans?

With TransData, I just downloaded it and unzipped it to the folder containing Transcendence.exe. However, I've read the instructions but am still not sure what to do next.
Create a new blank text document in the same folder where Transcendence.tdb and TransData are and paste this into it:
TransData.exe /decompile > decompile.txt
Now save it as a .bat file and you should be able to run it by double clicking on it.
Afterwards, there should be a new folder created named Transcendence_Source and there you go.
(Also a new text document listing everything that was decompiled.)
Kudos to AssumedPesudonym on IRC who helped me out with this.

It was actually Digdug who suggested the .bat file idea, but I’ll cheerfully take all the credit, anyway. …Yup ^.~

Then check the decompile.txt. If it's empty or displays an error, try running the .bat as an Administrator.
