"Center map on object button". That way if you scroll in you don't scroll into the wrong place.

Also, a "Projected Tech growth" tab. It would show the time it took to change tech levels and if it would go up or down. This would be great combined with trade routes we could cancel so we could further control tech growth. Also, it wouldn't surprise players that a planet increased/decreased in tech level and could plan accordingly.

I have an idea for a feature: Land area. Each planet could have a designate number of land area with different buildings/defenses using up a certain number of units. Different world types would have different qualities of land for different purposes. These qualities could act as "multipliers" on the land-use efficiency of certain buildings.
For example: On an earthlike world you have (unit for square megameters) worth of land. On an Earthlike, or ocean planet;
food resource tiles would cost 0.8 of a sq. megameter, essentially with 100 sq. megameters you could have 125 food resource production whereas on a desert planet it would be 1.0
and barren/underground worlds would require 1.5 sq. megameters per production tile

With Material resources it could be opposite:
Trillium refineries for example could require 1.0 space on earthlike worlds
0.8 space on desert like worlds and
0.6 on barren worlds
whereas it would take more space on an ocean world.

Underground, barren, and desert worlds could have higher space efficiency production of land based defenses;
HEL cannons, GDMs and plasma towers could take 0.75, 0.6, and 0.8 space respectively on these planet types, but on earthlike worlds they would take the full 1.0 per building.

In this way you can create variation in building and resource designation for a planet strategy with something other than pure population size, and abundance of three key resources.

Can we make export percentages based off of the *planet exporting*? I don't like being surprised by pop increases that screw up my galactic economy.

Suggestion: create an export tab for each world, with an option to either export using numerical values or percentage values.

John Jensen BTW, I'd like to request two things:
1) the ability to give whole fleets the same order simultaneously
1)a. also the ability to give all groups of the same ship type the same order simultaneously
2) a way to type in the desired orbit

I lost the 4 planets I managed to take over because I could not figure out the trading routes quickly enough to prevent consumer good shortages, and all 4 planets rebelled, leaving me once again with no ability to produce more Reliants.

Please, for the love of all that is alpha, make us a reset button? :oops: Even though it would be a late start and there are obviously some powergamer empires already going strong, I can't do anything with my account but send hordes of explorer ships to spy on the other empires. (Free target practice to anybody I'm spying on, BTW).

This already exists... somewhat. If you select a planet and click the planet button by the scale, it will center on the planet and zoom in to the planet-viewing scale. If you zoom out from there (for example, with the galaxy button) the map will still be centered on that planet.

also, CTRL+click will center map on selected planet.

Have an option to color code worlds based on type.
Color code trade routes based on shortages/surplus.
Be able to export based off of surplus of a planet's production (instead of % demanded by a planet).
