Have any mods become part of the base game?

Modding has been going on for quite a while now. Have any of the mods been integrated into the base game (even in modified form) or directly influenced the content of the base game?

blackmarket shipyards now can upgrade your reactor. That started as one of my mods. 8)

edit: there was also a version with ship reactor restrictions that nearly everyone modded out.
