Although we can set the keyboard keys to different actions eg fire weapon, pause game, is there any way of linking code directly to a key. Not like using 'U'se and then using a key but directly while playing.

As an example to make a Jotun-like deflector a lot more convenient ideally there could be three keyboard keys allocated to it. One to set it to minimum, one to increase it by 1 setting and another to set it to maximum. This would mean you could press eg 'I', 'O' or 'P' when in Cockpit View/SRS mode to do the above actions. This would be much easier than the current 'U', scroll across, 'Enter' or 'U', 'letter' three times to get it up to maximum. (I can't remember if it has a letter allocated to it in the Use menu). And also a lot quicker.

This would also be very handy in modding. I haven't used <Invoke> so I'm not sure what is possible and what isn't.
Stupid code. Do what I want, not what I typed in!

I think the answer is beyond the simple : I believe IRC is when and where our most secret operations specialists are on topic and properly armed for such conversations, as opposed to bored & tired and just peeking at the forum before bedtime...

You know what'd also be nice? A hotkey you could hit for "apply armor patch to most-damaged armor".

Then again, there's a certain amount of tension added to the game when you have to scroll through the menu in the middle of a fight...

Yes, but If you hit "I" and select 'Sustain' or any other option available, you might survive the fight to repair your ship.

Domina Relationship is Core to the Pilgrim's Survival, While I have often donated to the Sisters, I have Never invoked Domina 's power : However, Desperate Escape did rescue me in my Battle w/ the ICS some years ago: and I later finish the game after I repaired my ship.

I think armor repair shouldn't be available immediately. The current system already allows a ship with a load of repair equipment to become virtually indestructible. Making it quicker and easier would just make for worse balance.
Yes, look at my avatar, I have a wyvera type ship.
