It is slow (it may have something to do with the fact that I'm emulating some sound stuff) but it works. Sort of. All text is garbled so that the last letter of each word is replaced with the first letter of each word and a newline character is placed between each letter. "Welcome To Commonwealth Residentials" becomes:
W
e
l
c
o
w
t
t
C
o
Whereupon the screen runs out of room. Any help? I haven't tried to switch to Direct X yet.

Hmm...
Try running .98c to see if it does the same thing.
DirectX is not supported by Linux, so that won't do anything
I say to run .98c as Linux finds a different (most likely OpenGL) display system and uses it in place of Direct X, and maybe Linux will like that better than GDI.
(Hmm.. Should be interesting to see)
