Unnecessary Account Deactivations

Hi, I'm posting this on behalf of longtime forum members

digdug and Blitz

And digdug is a moderator, even!

have had their accounts deactivated because they updated their account information with new email addresses.

This has probably happened to others, as well.

I believe this to be unnecessary, and makes for more work for George as well. One ought not to be deactivated because they update their account information.

Yeah, that sucks. I don't know how to configure PHPBB to disable that. Sorry.

But I will reactivate them!

Edit: Both are now reactivated.

Speaking of the forum are you still verifying all the members individually? Didn't phpBB also offer approved mods that gave you more control over the options and advanced CAPTCHAs?
