Ok... due to all the bots, maybe we could lock the offtopic section. Or, we can lock the off-topic, and start a new 'off-topic' except we won't call it off-topic.

seems likely that the bots are coded to post in certain forums. so if our off-topic isn't called "off-topic" Its likely the bots won't post.

They'll just post in the first forum they find then.

Since registration is required to post, and since you need to identify an image to register, my guess is that the spam is coming from humans.

But if bots are sophisticated enough to identify an image, then they are probably going to be sophisticated enough to post even if a forum is not called "Off-Topic"

I've been deleting about one post per day, which is not too bad so far.

Well... in some forums, they don't have an offtopic and no bots bother them.

That doesn't mean that the reason there were no bots posting was because there wasn't an off-topic section.

I think that the bots are following me like how flies follow honey. When I post a link to a forum where I'm a member, the forums gets one bot, 2, 3, ... 99 ... 9999999...etc.
Bots, as well as humans, do follow links.
