Amazing. O_O

Do you know what I'm testing?
Internet explorer 9 (why? because for the few sites IE was required for, IE8 was driving me insane with its various issues, but worst of all was the jumping textbox issue. IE9... fixed that.) I am amazed. And happy. And also consequently even more amazed.

It also does a better job with displaying what is being linked to than its predecessor.

Not much of a fan for minimalistic interfaces that have everything /useful/ shoveled away under buttloads of menus, but considering pretty much every web browser is going that way today... oh well. Just re-enable it all I suppose.

But still, by no means am I migrating away from firefox. Though /completely/ removing the status bar was a moronic idea I must say. /disabling/ it should have been sufficient.

IE9 is still a piece of antiquated software that Is possibly the very cause of indigestion at night.

And upon entering that string into Google you will find out why.

but it's still an improvement over IE8 (which IMO was a regression from IE7, functionally speaking >.>) so you have to give them credit for at least that XD

Yeah, you can't say they aren't trying.

The one thing I dislike about FF is that it's so damn bloated. It consumes ten times as much memory as any other programs with only a few tabs open.

Also it breaks any fullscreen applications that try to run while it's minimized for some reason.
[schilcote] It doesn't have to be good, it just has to not be "wow is that the only thing you could think of" bad

You know, and I am sorry for saying this, those of you that will start screaming soon...

Statistically speaking, it is a certainty that at least 10,00+ people, possibly over 100,000 people still use Netscape Navigator.

Personally, I'm on FF3, which usually almost works....tried Opera, didn't like it....tried Chrome, but it doesn't do some things I need my browser to....so basically I'm waiting and hoping that FF4 (which is in Beta right now) is less bloated than 3, but still as capable.

Right...so, Wolfy....give us a rundown on what MS really shouldn't have done this time? I did that once for IE8, but gave up shortly after listing "Starting the project in the first place".....

Firefox rules. Simple as that.

And, there's even a nice Transcendence themed persona for it, created by yours truly :D.

I tried FF4 Beta, way, way back in the early days, but it disabled my anti virus, so I didn't use it again.
The few times I did use FF4, it was quite swish and nice, and I rather liked how the toolbars were hidden under the firefox button.

I use a minimalistic and highly configurable browser called luakit. For everything else i use google chrome, because, well... i don't give a damn and it is a really nice browser.

For web development i use FF ofc... firebug is indispensable

I tried Chrome....I just didn't like it. There wasn't anything actually wrong with it, it just didn't quite gel with me, if you know what I mean.

Chrome is faster, doesn't glitch as much. but I prefer FF3 and use it nearly exclusively. Except when FF3 is being a *****.

Chrome is also natively multithreaded. That means it works freaking awesome on multi-core processors, unlike other programs.

Too bad it's skinning engine, which you can't shut off, sucks so much.

You don't like random pictures as your Chrome theme? Its like if Firefox dropped theme support and just used Firefox Personas. It would be about the same really.

Yeah, chrome does work awesomely on my dual-core....

The big annoyance is I cannot remove IE8 from my computer....I have tried...THREE TIMES.

And vista always claims to have done it. <_<

The button for quick-launching it is also right next to the "show desktop" button. What idiot thought THAT was a good idea? <_<
