Mirror is [m], followed by the axis you wish to mirror on (x, y, or z)

alternately it's under the "mesh" toolbar in 3d view.

EDIT: still the same in 2.48a

Er that would be the 'mesh' menu, I guess, a menu being a part of a toolbar. It's only visible in edit mode - that spot is occupied by the 'object' menu in object mode (however you can still mirror things from either menu)

ok, I've been scouring the 'Nets and found a bunch of generic user-made parts for DoGA-L3. I also painstakingly cataloged those parts which wern't already, and added them to the 'add parts' menu, and then put it all into a zip file so all you have to do is unzip it into your main doga directory.

But the darn thing is 13MB in size, so I'm currently searching for a host that can survive a potential download rush from the Pardus community, if you can help please let me know.

I would use xelerus, but a good portion of the content is not specifically related to spaceships, and I don't want to cripple his/her site if I trigger a downloading rush.

[edit] nope, can't use it, due to security restrictions I'm not allowed to install 3rd party apps that 'sync' anything. [/edit]

filedropper is one possibility, there's a 5Gb limit.

as for long-term storage or download rush survivability i don't know, it's been a while since iv'e used it, but it should take the file at least until another host is found.

you use office computer or something huh?

BTW, why my NCC-1724 is not showing up as an image in the post? instead it shows up as a plain text?

I think it's the %20, the forum scripting must not like spaces.

I use imageshack.us for pict hosting, they even recently stopped screwing with the filenames :P

this is a large jpg from my wallpaper collection, but i renamed the extention to .zip, rename back to .jpg if you want to see one of the best steampunk/cyber-lion Blender projects I've ever seen.

FINALLY! :D :D :D

http://www.filedropper.com/dogal3userparts

This is a 13MB zip file full of readily available user made parts found around and about the Internet. Try google-ing "filetype:suf".

You may even have a lot of these files already, but what you don't have is a nice list of the vast majority of the parts on the 'Add Parts' menu. It took me 2 days, off & on, to hammer it all together. It may not have much polish, but it works.

The parts themselves are quite varied, from organics to robots and much more. Be sure to poke around the files, there are still more goodies that are not on the menu.

I set up the zip folder list so all you have to do is unzip it to your main DoGA folder. If your extractor asks to replace files that already exist, pay attention. Allow only parts.ini to be overwritten, anything else is at your own risk.

Thanks go to all the makers, sorry I didn't find your names. Some people should learn to turn off virtual directory listings. };->

Thanks also for bringing this little gem of a beginners tool to my attention.

Enjoy!

I did it again.

http://www.filedropper.com/basicdogaparts

This is a 35MB zip file chock full of a large number of very basic parts (primitives) and a whole bunch of detailed extras. It is far too much to stuff into the insert parts menu, but all parts have their thumbnail images so they work just fine from the 'add parts from file' menu. Extract it where you keep your fav DoGA files.

I even recognize what looks like predecessors to many of the default parts that come with the original DoGA-L3 download...
