Hello!
The great thing about Transcendence is its friendly, helpful, and active community. In an effort to extend this we (the forum regulars) created an IRC Channel over two years ago. The channel has been though a lot and we have seen a large increase in active and regular users and would like to continue this increase to help continue the active and interesting discussion about the game on IRC. Simply put you can get all your help and join active discussions there. This is not to say the forum is not useful, the two mediums should be used together and closely integrated. Now that we have an Official channel on FreeNode we can help make the group more interesting by adding more to the chat / channel as needed.

All information regarding connection to IRC can be found at:
http://wiki.neurohack.com/transcendence ... munity/irc

We hope to see you there! Come on by and stick around!

yeah but it was dead (no one in there, no ops etc) so we thought to create a new one also freenode is a bigger network which increases the chance that we find some transcendence users that may be already on the network and stay as idlers

Kinda hard to pick out which Freenode, is it the Europe or North America Service? I'm searching for transcendence, but it aint there. Is it case sensitive or something?

Are you putting in ##transcendence or #transcendence? Either one is ok, but we prefer you use ##transcendence
Charon Fizz-Soda! It's Red! It tastes like Awesomness! AND PIRATES MADE IT! Better than Eridani Mineral Water too!

Guys, you won't see me on freenode anymore. I don't have what to do there only on 1 channel, and freenode is starting to get bad. If Debian says it then it's surely right (and #debian is now on OFTC).

hmm neither can I :P

I mean in the servers you choose I am always only in one channel so I don't see the problem.
