Wiki Updating

So Ttech suggested I update the wiki as well, but then I was shocked to find out that there wasn't already a preexisting framework for growth of the wiki.
So here's my plan for the wiki, submitted to the community for review as well as suggestions and critiques:
Goal: organize the wiki (adding content will be for later )
Plan: through namespaces and tactful use of links
With namespaces, information and pages would be much easier to control as well as organize

		events
		legend
		etc..etc
Game:
		IRC
		Sandbox
		Latest version
		changelog
		etc.etc.

The goal of this is to make the wiki more helpful to the Transcendence community by being a great source of information to players as well as modders.
I would appreciate feedback and help in this endeavour.

Seems good to me.

One of the things that I think is needed is a script that runs through the transcendence xml resources and updates the statistics part of wiki pages about items, weapons, etc...

I don't think Docuwiki natively supports moving or renaming pages, so some kind of plugin would be necessary.

Also, I don't think it would be a good idea to drastically reduce the number of item categories. Cargo holds could be merged with misc devices, I guess, but the other categories are important distinctions.

I was looking at it earlier and it was a lot harder than it looks like.

Yes, that's a very good idea. I'd personally forgotten about cargo holds myself because there are only 3 of them in the game. I feel that they, as well as the drives, deserve their own item category because they change gameplay at a very fundamental level. I guess I'll have to categorize every item before I change the wiki.

namespaces should not be a major issue, we can work around the namespace and implement them at a later date.

Very nice, the entire ship 'group' is going to be very useful when someone searches for a ship. And we didn't need namespaces either!

Well they were rather complicated but the effect we were trying to get - the sorting and group seemed to work out.

I am not sure I get you... what do you mean that they were complicated?
