Seen first post, and seen new layout.bimbel wrote:Updated! See first post!
Early impressions:
* Looks nice.
Definitely a more professional feel.
* When editing mod details it does not remember the previous settings.
e.g. if you edit a mod 'made for 1.01' the selection of '0.95' will still be highlighted when you edit the details.
* Tag system needs explaining a little.
Specifically, you can select multiple options from the mod category list by holding down <ctrl> and clicking more entries. I think that may not be obvious to all users.
* Functions documentation - "Entrys" is a misspelling. It should be "Entries".
* Display of functions by category is more awkward.
Instead of having the option of displaying all functions in a category you instead a) display a single function then b) click on a category link in that function.
Suggestion:
I think it would be nice to have a sidebar option to show the most recently updated function descriptions.
Thank youptbptb wrote:Early impressions:

I'm going to write a FAQ entry about itptbptb wrote: * Tag system needs explaining a little.

I don't quite understand this! Care to explain further?ptbptb wrote: * Display of functions by category is more awkward.

Will think about it!ptbptb wrote: Suggestion:

this happens with Quality Mods and Balanced Mods as well

As far as I'm aware this is a standart behaviour for preselected multiselect inputs! To unselect hold down <Ctrl> and click the category! It's the same as selecting multiple categoriessdw195 wrote: in the mod search page if you slectet in Exclude (or include) bugtesting (or anything else) you cant unslectet it without visting a page unrelated to the mod search

Oh! I've just realized I missed something before.I don't quite understand this! Care to explain further?
When you put the mouse over the 'functions' heading the menu includes ...
* All functions
* Editors Notes
* Submit function
I did not realize that you can still get to the functions category list by clicking the functions header instead of one of the items in the functions menu.
I suggest that it would be clearer if the menu was
* All functions
* By Category
* Editors Notes
* Submit function
A similar thing applies to the Mods header (clicking the Mods header shows the search + category list - which isn't in the mods menu).
Note that if you click on the Preferences header you get the Change Password form - which is in the Preferences menu.
Ah I see the inconsistency! Added the main parts as points to the menus for clarificationptbptb wrote:[...]

And you'd want to do that because?Shrike wrote: I'd like to request the ability to hide the search box on the "My Mods" screen.

Because it gets in the way. Plus you have to remember that it doesn't search the "My Mods", it searches ALL mods, unless you tell it to...First couple of times I tried going through my mods I made that mistake with it.bimbel wrote:

Mischievous local moderator. She/Her pronouns.
Ah I see will change that to prewrite the name then so it searches by name!

BTW, I don't know if you're interested, but if you give me an http REST interface to post up stats directly from the game I might be able to do that.bimbel wrote:[Update 20-07-2010]

I made something like that using the xml data, it was buggy but that was because it was seperate daemon (which most peoople using windows don't do)george moromisato wrote:BTW, I don't know if you're interested, but if you give me an http REST interface to post up stats directly from the game I might be able to do that.bimbel wrote:[Update 20-07-2010]

It actually compaired users to other users to see which was better (playtime vs regens)
