This mod has an invokable item that causes a shot to be shot from your ship that goes back and forth in a curve. If you have improvements or questions please post them.

I had fun playing with it.

It definitely presents some new options for custom, non-standard weaponry. Unfortunately, it requires an <Invoke> to run but that will hopefully change soon with 1.0. The other major drawback is that the lifetime is tied to the weapon it's emulating. None have a long enough lifetime to really appreciate the sine wave.

:idea: Ideas: :idea:
Accelerating missiles
Pathfinding missiles (avoids objects in it's path)
Smart Mining laser that will target asteroids with ore in them
New fragmenting weapons with greater control over the fragments
"Last Starfighter" type weapon (weapon fire circling the ship)
And of course all the cool pathing of weapon fire.

With the station controling the weaponfire with events you could potentially get some REALLY complex results.
