Editing a little part of something bigger?

So, I'm starting modding and just recently decided to make my own station inside a <TranscendenceExtension>

That all went find, except in order to place it within Eridani, every time, I had to copy and paste all of Eridani.xml into my Extension, just to change a single line.

Is there an easier way?

you don't need to copy all of Eridani.xml just the ssStartonEridani and i dont think there is an easier way with out george doing something
