The 7th Transcendence Succession game

Welcome to the thread for the seventh Transcendence Succession!

The Succession is a type of multiplayer Transcendence, where participants pass around a single savefile and successively take turns playing on it, all in a (vain) attempt to reach Heretic on a single life.

To make things more interesting, each succession game usually mixes in dozens of mods, so that even seasoned veterans will be as surprised (pleasantly we hope) as a newcomer to Transcendence.

This succession contains approximately 180 mods from Xelerus, some which you may have played before, but most of which have never been experienced in quite this way! We have stuff from .98 to 1.3, from "Autons Extended" to "Zanitas and Lazarus", from Androgeos to Xolarix, all updated for compatibility with each other and 1.3

If you would like to participate, just follow the instructions below.

Installation instructions:
1) Download modpack: https://www.fileconvoy.com/dfl.php?id=g ... d0cdf54956 (170 MB)
2) Extract Extensions/ directory
3) Replace your existing Extensions/ directory with the extracted one
-By default, Extensions/ is in the same directory as Transcendence.exe, if it isn't there already, just copy the extracted Extensions/ directory to there
4) Check thread for latest savefile
5) Download latest savefile
6) Place savefile into the Games/ directory inside main Transcendence directory
7) Rename the Collection/ directory inside the main Transcendence directory to _Collection/ or delete it
8) Start Transcendence
9) Load savefile
10) Play

After you've taken your turn, just compress your save using 7zip and upload it to a file hosting site. I recommend Xelerus or InfoTomb. Remember to post the link afterwards and ideally a short recap in this thread!

Recommended programs: 7zip, Transcendence 1.3, and possibly a screenshot tool.

Uploaded turn #2 savefile at Xelerus. Highlights:
* Friendly Centauri station, with free refueling services, in the system.
* Found Korolov; did missions and acquired much needed targeting program ROM as reward.
* Purchased Antares-II from Korolov as "The Party Mule", and put all loot in it. It does not have shields yet.
* Explored some but not all of the system.

NOTE: All laser Beamer weapons are mining capable. (I did not have time to strip-mine the whole system.)

Don't worry about limiting your turn to just one system; there are over 70 of them, and just trying to navigate through them may take a while.

Turn 3 done

Eeeeerm... i lost the party mule...

-found 100MW reactor,installed,enhanced (120MW now)
-found 6 segments of c7000 armor,installed 4 and +20% on those 4
-obtained black market ID
-found laser collimator,installed on dual laser beamer
-made around 25-ish thousand creds on loot
-left a couple of fuel assemblies in hold just in case
-didn't take screenshots

It was very nice to play. Glad to finally join Transcendence Succession :)

So here we are:
-First, cleaning 5 Indi system. Nothing happened here. System is complete.
-Izar system, I think not all explored. I left Urak station, they were to strong for me.
-The last system I visited was Ras Alhague. A lot of combat here, I was shooting all the time to pirates. It was really rough. (wrecks are mostly destroyed, loot taken, but you can check it once again).

Highlights:
* Probably I lost Arco Vaughn. Anyway, he was flying around my sight, making shooting difficult. I do not regret.
* Wasn't easy, but I save our mule, and ordered it to wait (it has completely destroyed armor, and I really don't know how to fix it). Also, put some loot in it, mostly useless, waiting for sell.
* I decided to change reactor, old one was often overloaded. Don't worry, there is fuel (IV) in the cargo.
* All weapons from turn 2 was sold and now ship has installed omni soul seeker cannon.
* More credits earned :D
* Purchased C5000 armors and Mark II Accumulator shield to resistance pirates heavy fire.

(By the way: my style of playing is to selling stuff, earning a lot of money, and keeping in cargo only fuel and I don't used to flying with mules etc. ;))

Summary:
-lost autons due to gating
-broke the autopilot somehow
-marked stuff on Captain's Log
-explored ~3 new sysetms
-fixed up the mule and got a super solar array for it from StelliFer

There's not enough cargospace on the wyvera to really scout + loot so I decided to fix up the mule and go out in that instead

Argh, I regret not mentioning that Arco Vaughn's heavy raider was upgradable, but still, it's very interesting to see how differently others play the game.

@RPC

That 5 MW battery reduces power consumption by 5 MW for one minute.

That error in the ship purchase screen was my attempt to add PSD support to Keedo's Slylandro Probe. It's a reminder to never add untested, last minute features to code. I wonder if it works.

The crafting system in StelliFer was excellently implemented by PM, who also updated every item and station to 1.3 specs.

Heh, RPC, did you buy a military ID from that GC station?

Have we found Rigel yet? There's an insurance station there, and insurance will become very useful later on.

I checked the F2 stats and we already died ~3 times. I haven't bought insurance yet.

Wow, I didn't know that number of dies really matters in Succession. Sorry. I will play more carefully.

@Datal: It's not a problem. It's just that insurance is usually bought so that players maintain permadeath status but since we already died we don't need insurance (unless there's something else I'm not getting).
