I thought I'd start a dedicated thread for dumping our stats as well as suggesting changes and additions.

At this point I'm ready to leave St. Katharines.
The only mod installed is dsf and Godmod which I haven't used.
My current loadout:
Ship: Freighter
Weapons: Flenser and Smarcannon
Enhancer: Cannon Accelerator
Reactor: 50 mW reactor
Shield: Cyclotron s1200
Credit balance: ~55000 almost all from trading from manufacturing plants to Enclaves in St. Kats.
Notes:
There's been almost no equipment dealers besides the ones in Rigel and I had no money while I was there. Consequently I chose to pass through Charon fearing a frigate would easily end my pilgramage with my pitiful equipment at the time. St Kat's only had a Rasiermesser dealer where I bought the Ceralloy and the flenser. I want to see what else triggers a stat so I will be backtracking now that I finally have decent equipment.

I've only just arrived at rigel; been milking all the prior systems for all their worth. Got me a particle & dual turbo + fast, lots of $$$ (2.2k), and some half-decent armor. I'll be forging ahead and seeing what I can get, prior to returning to rigel.

Backtracked to Eridani to kill Arco with my new equipment, skipped ahead to Charon where pandemonium ensued....
4 frigates, one after another, finally a fifth shows up and I tail it to St Kats to resupply and repair. Back to Charon and I discover the frigate is in fact the Kronosaurus! The missiles annihilate my shields and bring my forward Ceralloy plate down to 5hp, a large armor kit lowers my blood pressure slightly. I pick a small moon and hide behind it, firing my smartcannon when the Kronosaurus gets within range. 10 minutes feels like an hour but I finally emerge victorious and head off to finish base cracking when a 6th Frigate flanks me between it's fleet of 6-8 ships and the fortress.....

Is there a way to have these stats auto-dump onDestroy or onGameEnd? I had to ressurect to get them and ended up losing my honorable permadeath :(
when scrolling the items can the left and right arrow scroll a whole section and keep up and down scroll items?

There's no tracking of mining, perhaps total tons mined/collected?

Anyways, that game was intense so I think I need to go lie down for a bit :P

Sounds like a great game!

After the epitaph you go straight into the stats screen, so you should be able to Ctrl+C then.

If not, you can press F2 at the intro screen and get your stats also, without having to start a new game.

I can't seem to find where 1.02 is downloadable but I'm thinking there could be a seperate app to uplaod stats and compete
I'm looking into making something that can be temporary it uplods the stats and saves and such
IT could be as simple as time played vs. res
But that would be pretty interesting no?

Pretty awesome playthrough so far; got a bushido's in st.k's, and it has carbide.

First of all, congratulations!

These stats are already helping me because until now I didn't really know how people played (I only knew how I played--and I mostly played to debug the game).

A couple of observations (bugs aside, which I'm glad people are reporting):

1. I should probably add a GUID to each game so that we can match up the same stats from the same game.

2. In bimbel's game, profit from arms is almost a million credits. Way more than was made farming ferians. Maybe enemies are still dropping too many intact items.

3. Whether or not I change that, it might be fun to add some more conducts, like:

"Never profitted from arms sales"
"Never profitted from illegal items"
etc.

4. As more people upload their stats, it will be interesting to see the distribution of weapons used. We all have theories about which weapons are commonly used.

5. We need more stats to show the breadth of the game: Zoanthropes recruited, enemies killed by exploding stations, sealed containers opened, etc.

6. If you add up all the shots fired and divide by the number of enemies destroyed you get 25 shots per enemy killed (not counting stations). Maybe that can be a stat also.

A million credits is nothing for the whole game. Top tier weapons range from just under a quarter mill to three quarters of a million credits.

Ferians, on the other hand, are pure tedium. I might farm some once to jump-start my rin account so I can pick up longzhus until I find a teraton and start selling weapons.

You shouldn't reduce drops because doing that forces the player into tedious farming, either of ferians, Ares shipyards, Ventari, or some other for that spawns without limit.

Great point. Maybe we need a way to boost profits from other sources?

Um. The way I play early game income is mostly from trade and missions. Korolov nets you a few kilocreds after fuel. The arena a few more. A good trade station will net you a hectacred or two. Probably comes to another kilocred or so all told. Equipment selling is similar. Loot is mostly equipment. Quite a bit of the non-equipment loot has such a poor value to mass ratio it's not worth picking up for me. No clue about mining.


Trade routes are free money and don't need to be boosted. Mining is too tedious for me to touch no matter how profitable so no comment on that.

The problem if such it is is that missions suddenly stop being for credits after St. K. Trade routes don't exist anymore either. If you don't have a nest egg to gear up with you're pretty much sunk because there're no noncombat income sources. Militia missions can reduce the cost of gear, but that's not the same as putting credits in your account that you can spend at other shops. The equipment you want to buy at this point is terribly expensive and the loot you have to sell goes for peanuts. This is because the level 6 weapon selection is unusually sparse forcing you to skip to level 7 while your enemies are dropping level 4 or 5 gear and/or notforsale stuff that sells for a pittance.

The Ventari are the beginning of the end of the credit crunch, but you have to be geared up before you get to them because of their device damage. They can ruin your game in seconds if you don't have a good shield, and a good shield usually means an expensive shield since no enemies have good shields for their time until the Phobos, most of them relying on the fact that they massively outnumber you.

You're counting farming ferians as a separate cash source, but they're after the second difficulty hump anyways, and if they appear early you can't farm them because you're not ready for the warriors.

The fundamental fix is more missions that pay in credits after St. K's. Possibly also turn ferians into trade stations so there's a noncombat entry into the rin economy and at the same time make corporate trading posts pay corporate enclave prices for luxuries, food, medicines, and resources so early ferians can be used for trade in the credit economy.

The stat mapping also provides a new and possibly very interesting way to check for weapons that may need a tweak: If no one's using it, there's probably a reason....and maybe a tweak is needed. Not necessarily damage, range or fire-rate, but some kind of 'extra' that sets it aside (like the idea proposed a while back to make the Laser Array an IM weapon).

Likewise, stats for things like Zoanthrope recruited and Zoanthope recruits killed....this tells if people are using them, or if they're just being blown away because of getting in the way and/or being deliberately targeted (I personally nuke them to stop them being a pain later).

...It also may show what the ratio of playstyles is....Wolfen:Freighter:Sapphire and Omni vs Non-omni in particular may be interesting.....although you'd have bias from some people uploading lots of statlogs, and some people uploading none.


heh. The number of stats that could be added is virtually endless.....tons of XXXX mined, what's been made at the tinkers.....number of times you've used domina powers (that's another conduct, actually....not using domina powers.....).
