I've noticed that a lot of enemy ships that are assigned to starbases won't fight back if you attack them whilst they're on-route to their base from the gate. This includes hacking attempts and omni-directional weapons.
Has hacking been changed for RC1? Because It seems like every Sung ship I've run into has had a 95% success rate at hacking my ship, and I don't remember having that much trouble with them in earlier versions.

Funny story, killing it (them, it keeps respawning after the station's own units kill it) causes the station (and the ships around it) to turn hostile towards you. :/
I just encountered a zone where a commonwealth arms dealer (I forget the name) spawned next to a colony. It didn't last long. Niether did the corporate cruiser that came in to avenge it.
