Hope 2 stargates aren't right beside each other. That is a legitimate concern though, and worth compensating for this with this (and other) missions. I'm sure I struck this with one of the CSC escort missions when I first started playing Transcendence. I'd accept the mission, but within seco...

I had a fun game recently where in the first system, I found two Korolov escort and massage services close together. I was able to visit both of them, and escort two craft to (as luck would have it) the same destination, and then back again. That was really enjoyable, and tricky too as the crafts we...

Scare-but-don't-kill missions would be a lot of fun, but you have to have some reason not to destroy the enemies utterly. Guarding pacifist settlements (maybe Domina temples?) where there is a hefty prize for defending the settlement comes to mind - and a hefty penalty for killing the antagonists. M...

Nomads

Suppose I shouldn't fire on them anyway when I'm so weak

In conclusion: I am my own worst enemy

I am the unspecified threat that caused Iocrym to shut down stargates to the galactic core

Morningstar cannon

Is this affected by using the cannon accelerator? The morningstar fires a couple dozen individual kinetic projectiles, each doing 1 damage but (am I right here?) enhanced damage is rounded down, so +75% of 1 is still going to be 1. What about if you used a cannon accelerator and also 3 kinetic upgra...

Hired Mercenary Wingmen

I think it would be great if you could hire wingmen from somewhere. You would be able to select from a list your wingman, including what ship they fly in. Not quite sure what the ideal means of payment would be though. At first, I was considering having a commission type deal, where either you pay t...

Good idea FAD I hadn't thought of the freighter putting the experimental auton on a mule, thats a good twist. I like the think the autons are designated as green, they are friendly, but the freighter is using them for self-defense. If they were red, other stations would attack them also. Sometimes m...

Outlaw mission idea: Grand Theft Auton

 The Black Market has recieved some worrying information that a sophisticated auton has been developed that can detect contraband even inside a smugglers compartment. St Katherines Commonwealth fascists are going to experiment with one of these "Beagle" autons to test their efficiency and effe...

d20 mechanics are realitively easy to understand and learn. Heck, you can look the rules up for free by going to the www.wizards.com website and checking out the SRD. I find with some roguelikes and computer rpgs (I don't feel that they are really the same thing, although sometimes they overlap), th...

Yep, there are definitly options there, wouldn't want to make the mission too easy, there has to be some nifty fast ships available.

Its extremely buggy and incomplete at the moment, but still enjoyable. I look forward to seeing it developed further. I must confess, I stopped playing it after a couple of sessions and turned my attention back to Transcendence.

re Defective Autons

Leave them as they are, they are a good challenge. If they are too tough: leave the system, the defective auton won't leave with you. Come back later and blow it into smithereens with your Akan-600 enhanced +150%
As you do.

Thanks Fossaman :) I used to read the Stainless Steel Rat books when I was a teenager, they were quite entertaining. Might try and track them down again... after I finish Gormenghast. I was going to call the Stainless Steel Gerbil the Stainless Steel Rat, but that would probably breach trademark or ...

d20 roguelike: Incursion

http://www.incursion-roguelike.org/

Still new and unfinished, but I think a few Transcendence players might like to know of its existence.

My Paladin2/Monk2/WizardX kicks so much ass.
