This doesn't seem to have any impact on the way the AI behaves or even do the damage it is rated for. Am I missing something, or its pointless to use this?
At the moment the Blind effect does nothing to the AI, so it is unfortunately useless to the player.

...and then I got employed and then unemployed again. But! I've slowly been poking away at the mod, and when 1.9 stable is out I'll be finally pushing it to the Multiverse. ...when I get it stable-ish. And I've got lots of wonderful things for you that I've added recently. Specifically? Minefields. ...

Re: IRC Closed

The many breakings of the Katami bot, for starters ;) *It was marginally easier to ensure a question got seen, admittedly :P Ah yes, when Katami would randomly start speaking German or Spanish when someone joined or spoke. That was high quality stuff  I believe there was one specific instance ...

Re: IRC Closed

The IRC was integral to my getting into modding (and much later, moderating). While I don't entirely miss the unbridled chaos that was IRC days, compared with current livestream Q&As*, I do miss the old channel a fair bit, for all almost everyone had moved over to discord. If anyone wants to post in...

Re: Song 'N' AssumedPseudonym's Superior Sounds (Alpha)

Okay, after a very long time... a new SNAPSS version is on the multiverse! This version adds new sounds for graviton and nano weapons, and a few other tweaks. ...It's taken about eight attempts to get it successfully uploaded in a working state, so I'll leave it at that. EDIT: Okay, lots of little b...

Re: Upgrade Certain Weapons to Omnidirectional

THe game isn't very good at giving both bonuses and penalties to an item, so I wouldn't go for upgrading items in-game (for now) outside of crafting recipes. Bbut I'm 100% in favor of adding more omni (and swivel!) weapons to the game. The old "Put it a level higher and make it omni" method works gr...

Re: [DEV] Elemental Shift

And, courtesy of AssumedPsuedonym doing a bunch of work to get some of the more annoying bits done, Elemental Shift now runs on semi-current versions . I'm still going through and updating older stuff, but I'm thinking it'll end up on the multiverse sooner rather than later. Given my career plans ar...

Re: [DEV] Elemental Shift

There was a bit. Unfortunately things went pretty badly for me for a while with health and RL issues. Again.

I'll try to get back to ES at some point, but it'll take some work just to get it up to date with the current version.

Re: Steam Workshop and Multiverse Content

The steam workshop implementation is a lot harder to use as a mod developer than the alternatives, and a lot of people in the community who develop mods don't use Steam, so people haven't really bothered with workshop uploads (I've tried it once or twice, couldn't get it to work, then never touched ...

Re: Inhabitable Planets

There are three M-class (earth/earthlike) planets in the canon thus far: Earth, Incandescent (in St. Katherine's Star), and the current Ares homeworld. As for non-earthlikes with colonies...unknown.

There's a field in the attachment labelled "code comment". Just type it in there.

Re: placing images in post text query

Sure I can help with this one. When you've uploaded an image, clicking "place inline" when you have an active cursor/location in the text box will insert it at that location. You can move it around later. Then just write between the attachment embeds. AXTIRFortress.png I'm embedding a copy of the AX...

Ironparrot on discord reports that under the right circumstances this can result in item deletion/duplication.

Re: [DEV] Elemental Shift

One month on, and a few things have progressed quite nicely. The big change is that I've started integrating both vanilla and ES vessels into the Ship Broker system. You can now pick up and fly the following in shipyards: ES Originals Bandit -class interceptor (4 variants) Bandicoot- class gunship (...

Re: adding ships to commonwealth traffic

A good guide to an interesting system. I considered swapping to this approach for Elemental Shift, but because I reduce the appearances of some of the stock ships (to make them level-appropriate) I ultimately had to stay with the old way and just redefine the entire table (which introduces problems ...
