i have to say the main draw I've seen in my last playthrough is the mining. Love the ability to see where to mine and how much is left to mine out. I mean slow strafing was my previous method, and is still mildly effective but I probably missed so much and now I know where.

Well, since that is being pushed so hard to be a standard by the operating systems there are probably lots of users who just give up and never actually play the game.
I'd say this needs to be fixed.

I found a computer it does work on.
The only thing I think the other systems have in common that the last one didn't is that they required a login to use them. Is that some kind of limiter to this game? Does it try to use the computer's login to also log into the game and crash if it isn't valid?

This is without even trying to log in. Totally vanilla.
