Blue shadows on planets

My point is, you're in a spacecraft which flies through constant background radiation and around stars which can put out tens of Sieverts (Sieverts are normally measured in thousandths). So, almost any spacecraft would have to be shielded. The atomic bombs in Japan put out about 10 Sieverts just hal...

Compare how much radiation a nuclear device puts out to the amount of radiation a star puts out. It's like pouring a teacup into an ocean.

So if I made up my own attribute, it would have no effect, because the game wouldn't know what "one-eyed monster wearing purple dress" meant, right?

I'm confused. :oops: What turns grey when you die? You turn grey? Or everybody else turns grey? 'Cause I thought when you died you went to the death screen. That's what always happens to me. Is something else supposed to happen? And how can I get that game?

It wouldn't. Prior to death all sorts of explosions and systems would be overloading.

I thought station positions were defined in the levelFrequency and locationCriteria. Stars are actually a StationType and their attribute tag just says "star." Is there really a script somewhere that looks for every station with "star" in the attributes and does something with that information? Or c...

Station attributes

What do the entries on the attributes tag in StationType actually do? I mean, it's nice to know that a Ringers Shipyard is populated, but does that actually do anything?

That's my point. Up until the extension comes into effect, ALL Ranx will be enemies, and then for one faction to suddenly become friendly doesn't make sense. But if the Ringers "introduced" the player to the friendly Ranx (the rebels) that would make more sense. As opposed to a "friendly" rebel base...

Ok, not THAT much like a Tripoli. More in terms of size and armament. Although I see your point about looting. Hadn't thought of that. But still, a destroyer/freighter with a few ion weapons would be much more fitting with how dangerous transporting freight is in that area.

They NEED a freighter, but it doesn't necessarily need to be just a freighter. I was thinking more along the lines of a Tripoli or some other destroyer-type ship (but with Ringer armor and weapons) that would kind of do double duty as a freighter and military ship.
