Upgradeable wingmen and useable items.
I've tried using a few items with my wingmen, and it doesn't seem to work. Is there some specific thing you have to do? Do certain types of items not work? Or do I have to install the thing for myself, upgrade it, remove it and then install it on them?

With the upgradeable wingmen mod, how far have people been able to take their crew? Has anyone gotten them to Heretic? Survived the fight with the Iocrym? If so, what's the best way to do this?

How's that transpace drive work?
So, I recently found a "jacorai" alien device for sale which I'm pretty sure is a transpace jump drive. So, how do those actually work? How do you navigate with one? I'm playing with upgradeable wingmen. Would it make sense to put that in one of them, or would that not work well?

So I know that sometimes when I attempt to install armor, the game tells me this armor is too heavy for my ship. Do you find it useful to arm your wingmen with missile weapons, or is keeping up with ammunition not worth the trouble?
Oh, and to clarify about your exploit: The wingman's reactor has to be strong enough to support each device on their ship, but not all of the devices together. Is that correct?

Questions about function of upgradeable wingmen
With the upgradeable wingmen mod, does it matter what reactor your wingmen are running? Does it limit what weapons or devices you can install? It appears primarily to affect your fuel consumption personally, and that's not an issue for them. Any advice? Should I upgrade their reactors or is that was...

I know you can pick Jenna up at the Commonwealth fortress after completing a certain number of military missions. Where and under what circumstances to Volkov and Rama join up? For that matter, are there any others I'm unaware of? (Yes, I know about the Dwarg followers, but that's not quite the same.)

I tried docking with Jenna and Rama(?) and nothing happened. I had the targeting system locked on them too, so which I was docking with shouldn't have been a problem. I recently started playing v. 1.01. I added the upgradeable wingmen mod, but I can't quite get it to work. If I understand the instructions, you get your companion to dock, and then you dock with their ship. I can get them to dock, but can't join with them. Is this a problem with the transition to 1...
