Once I get free fuel from CSCs, the solar equipment comes off, and I use real armor. I am eager to complete CSC missions as soon as possible precisely for the free fuel. This happens late in the game, and by then, most of the game is done. If I need to choose either armor regeneration or fuel regene...

Hives do not spawn infinite miners. After the hive spawns enough of them, no more miners will be spawned by that hive. After all of the miners are disposed, you can attack or destroy the hive to spawn warriors if you dare. The loot found in the hive is not very impressive, which is several dozen ton...

I always use cargo expansion with the Wolfen because 35 tons is not enough space if I find something good and big to loot and I need to loot it in a hurry. (For instance, a corporate station blows up, and I need to get the loot before the other ships loot it.) When I slow down, I stop, backtrack to ...

I often do not use a patcher arm because by the time I find one, I run out of slots. In a Wolfen, non-weapon slots are taken by reactor, shield, cargo expansion, and solar panel/jumpdrive. In a Sapphire, I use two or three weapons, an engine, and the other above four items. If I have solar armor, bu...

I do not use mules. They are too slow and fragile, too difficult to park them where you want them, and 75 tons is not enough for the kind of hauling I want to do. The only time I would consider using mules in standard Transcendence is if I am hauling cargo between safe systems, such as from St. K's ...

I hunt salvagers when I can; but sometimes when I think I get them all, I miss one. Also, I do not know if salvagers can replace themselves as they are destroyed. If they cannot respawn at all, that would bring some peace of mind.

Yes, they are rare after St. Katherine's, but they can appear nonetheless; and the threat of their presence can deter storage plans until the salvagers are eliminated. The last thing I want is to drop some great loot, then a salvager takes it. Worse if it equips your loot, then you lose it because i...

When I tried the Trenton, a random group of Wind Slavers (or maybe it was Ares Sandstorms) almost tore my ship apart. 1 damage to armor adds up pretty fast when four gunships spam their blasters.

As for the Ferians, the salvager idea sounds good, provided the salvager is slow and weaker than a warrior. Otherwise, might as well have the warrior salvage dead miners. If George wants to be evil, he can have the new Ferian salvager seek out and loot any wreck, not just dead miners, within 100 ls ...

If the Sisters' attitude is zero or less, you will not be allowed to contemplate (except one time at the start of the game); and free fuel, repairs, and decontamination will be denied unless your ...

The biggest problem with the Gaians is the other stations, usually the Ringers, fry them to a crisp before the player encounters one. This means free loot. In addition, it is easy to lure Gaians to their demise with a trail of crates leading to a Ringer station.

The WMD would be useful to clear wrecks. If it did that, I might have a reason to use this instead of IM90, Lamplighter, or Fracture Cannon.

True. Maybe make the Ringer shipyards a bit more common then? If the 1 gw loses the military tag later, then so should the positron lancer. Hey, that's a (silly) way to buff the positron lancer.
