Yes, to my pleasant surprise, the high-speed howitzer loader works with plasma cannons, including the APA, Lamplighter, and the Baihu Archcannon from EP. Not aure about the normal plasma cannon.

I repeated the circumstances that caused one of the "On Animate" crashes (lifting the event horizon in Heretic) and this time I got debug code instead of a crash.

EP: Never Ending Gate Animation

I'm running 1.8 beta 5.2, playing EP in a Kaiten-class gunship. For no immediately apparent reason, the warp gate animation between two systems I had already visited never stopped. I had to force the game to close and lose a permadeath run.

My debug log is attached.
