I also have the same problem. When I dock on some stations the dialogue's text is blackened, and does not respond to hot keys, though it does respond to you blindly clicking on them guessing as to what they do.

Wanted to start a new game in the latest 1.9 Beta, but when I get into the ship selection screen the display is messed up. To clarify, my laptop's screen has a maximum resolution of 1024x600. On 1.8, I can just scroll down the display to read the rest of the ship's statistics or whatever, but in 1.9...

I'm also interested in an answer for this. Commonwealth Police seems like a nice mod.
