And you CAN'T mod and fool around with EV? It is a *very* modable game, and people have, GASP, successfully made some total conversions!

I wonder, are there any successfully done total conversions for transcendence out there? ;P

I have played Escape Velocity Nova, and I think it does some things better than Transcendence... Specifically, it does story events, IMO, much much better, and has plot elements be better too. But I guess that is what you get with a game that isn't a roguelike, where all the systems are mostly the s...

Try using dice rolls for the variables. Like for 60-90, do 1d30+60 that gives you 61-90. Dunno if it works or not... or for fire rate, 5D10, which gives you 5-50 (though not all numbers are equally likely with his... there is a curve...) And lifetime, 2D6+3, or 5-15. (again, with a curve...) Not sur...

What minor changes would make the Ion9 cannon worth it?

Hi there, what are some minor changes that would make the dvalin Ion9 cannon more worth it for all the work you have to do to get it, and still be balanced? (perhaps also increase the level of it?)
