large objects "pop" onto screen

I find that if I have say, a phobos dreadnaught wreck floating out in space, as I approach it with my ship it does not become visible until the "center" of the ship enters the screen, causing that half of the ship to suddenly pop into sight. even if I approach slowly, one moment it is not there, the...

The TM7 missile seems useless. It launches a missile that splits into three separate warheads...

and then those warheads do *not* track the enemy.

Level 8 indeed :(

Just for the record, there are some omni weapons that can be farmed off of enemies. The kobol occasionally drop a working omni tev9, and the ares dreadnaughts and destroyers drop the omni lightning cannon. I've seen ranx dreadnaughts drop a working OTL, but I'm not sure what good that would do you a...

kytrynn blasters (spoilers)

This last game I played, I installed a gun with a random alien name, one of those "install it to find out what it is" type of things, and it was a kytrynn blaster. I thought that this was the kytrynn launcher, which requires ammo, but no, it is a weapon I did not know about until this moment. The ky...

well, erm, um.... That's the problem with omni weapons. The OTL is'nt the first upgrade, it's the only one. Until you either get a military id for an omni akan cannon, or else find an omni particle cannon, the OTL is the only omni upgrade available. The military rom and the OPC are both usually foun...

As my name implies, I like omni (auto aiming) weapons. The freighter starts with an omni laser, and you can usually dig up a laser collimator in the first few systems. This last game (.99c, which I just finished), I beat the kronosaur (the big pirate frigate) *and* saved the charon korolov station u...

Thioseptal exploit (spoiler)

I may be the last one to realize this, but there's an exploit related to thioseptal. During the huari storyline, someone tells you to go somewhere and gives you an item called thioseptal. If you use it, you will get either the navigation marker of the place you're supposed to go, or the navigation m...

I once posted a short description of the teraton process here: http://neurohack.com/transcendence/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1270&highlight= disclaimers: * The thread linked contains spoilers. * emptying your inventory into a teraton pit will no longer cause the game to crash * kytrynn cannons (I think)...

I only post about "throwing out" saves in jest, though I *do* restart every time a version comes out, otherwise, I might miss a bug. We are, after all, play testing the game. Our goal is to find bugs, and so I start from scratch with every version. It's just a personal choice though.

misspelling

from a conversation in a mining station (found in "rumors" in the TDB): "\"It's not too dangerous from Eridani to St. Kat's. Mostly just pirates to worry about. But deeper in the Ungoverned Territories there are dangers that you cannot imaging. Slavers will jump you out in deep space and boost your ...

I did finally manage to get some ore out of a few rocks, but it took much longer than I expected. I have a lot of patience for farming Ranx and Ventauri capital ships - I'm not sure I have enough patience to shoot rocks. :) Now if I could install some kind of cool prospecting system that would scan...

he seems to give you a warning, and then says "huh?" when you start shooting at him with missiles. perhaps there's more storyline here than we've discovered? the data rom implies that his dad went to core, maybe you meet up with his dad later? arco vaughn senior as a late game enemy perhaps?
