If you can't then you haven't done the things you say you've done (the game didn't record it or something). did you finish the arena ...

So how do I get my first mission?

Huh, even weirder. In Point Juno system I ran across a big fleet of Ares ships and blew them up, and when I killed the leader I got a "Mission Complete" message (without ever receiving a mission, to my knowledge) and a pointer toward the Point Juno base. But the base still won't talk to me.

Getting further into the game now, but a few things make me scratch my head. Any help appreciated. 1. I've seen a lot of military stations now, but none of them will give me the time of day. Is this normal? I've heard you need a "tough" reputation to join up, but I beat the Arena and did the Charon ...

Yep, and you can get military stuff at an Adventurer's Supply too. I know where to find'em, I just didn't want to get busted.

what I'm really wondering is whether I'll ever encounter problems for having military gear installed (as in, not just in my hold)?

What are the consequences for installing Military gear without being in the military? Commonwealth stations don't seem to care, but maybe Military stations later on will have a problem with me?

I'm on a mission to deliver something to the St. K's commonwealth station. No problem... except it's impossible for me to dock there. It overlaps with buildings on two sides and the remaining spots are taken up by nav beacons and a ship that never seems to leave. Is there any way to deal with this? ...

Just an update -- I had to ressurect a couple times, but I think I've got the hang of this a bit more now. Breezed through Charon with a Dual Lasers / Shuriken / Shtorm setup and a Mammoth shield. They've actually refuelled my ship a few times even though I never gave them fuel -- just some drugs and a lot of food, and a couple luxury items.

Does anyone know if getting refuelled takes away some of your "domina points"?
