How about have the game make a new save every time you save/go through a gate etc., and have it automatically load the save file with the latest number when it starts? And have all these saves in a folder to avoid clutter. This is technically sound for people trying to debug the program, but not so...

Mining is so boring. Letting my enemies try to hit me with a mining laser and instead finding gold for me is more amusing :D . I can never seem to amass alot of wealth, so I just let my enemies destroy certain stations, then take the profit. There was a fight between a black market shipyard and a hu...

Corruption of save files

This has happened to me quite a few times already in version .99, where once I use the gate, I go to the next system, then crash, getting an unusable save file.

Is this happening in Version .99a as well?

Why does it seem to be so hard to kill? And when you do try to kill it, you can still doc into it and no one cares. No one bothers to try and kill you because they are still in circular formation. I do get arrested on the nearest commonwealth station though.

Error when saving?

This happened when I wanted to save. I had the error. When I tried to play again, with the save file, an error occurs as well. 08/01/2008 11:56:52 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 08/01/2008 11:56:53 Start logging session 08/01/2008 11:56:53 Transcende...

It seems like some bad/non-existant driver problem on my part. Rendering is slow for most things like scrolling so it's not the fault of Transcendence. I tried it on other computers, and I can use /windowed, so it's fine.

No /windowed mode?

I just tried using the /windowed option using the run command, and it wouldn't work. Can anyone else confirm if it's gone? Maybe it's the current computer I'm using.

You get the KM500's from the same place that wants the warlord dead. It is to be used as a training mission to equip items. I find the mark 2 shield pretty balanced. I almost died to the tripoli in the arena (had a particle cannon on hand of course). The extra story seems pretty good too. This time ...

Is it because the mule auton has a nav beacon tracker on it? I mean, you can see it on the overhead map; the AI would somehow calculate them as a possible course. Hmm, if you added a code so that if the T3 could take the mule items like the corporates do, it would add a small amount of depth to the ...

Legal stuble on freeware?

There's a great game that I forgot about long ago called Lords of the Realm II and it was awesome. It had meshed real time strategy with turn based strategy seemingly well. It is now freeware, but without the fancy cutscenes. Wining the executable (it's a win32 app) only allows me to play the turn b...

The concept is a new one, and I hope the service would be free. I wonder if it runs in linux though, as it says it runs on any PC.

Resolutions

I'm currently running the ASUS EeePC, which has the max resolution size of 800 x 480. Is there any way to reduce the size of transendence to this resolution? The speed is just fine, and I ran it in wine.

I've sorta been using linux since my freshman semester. I've used OpenSuse first, Ubuntu second, and am now in the Fedora platform. Now I'm getting the EeePc mini-laptop with a modified Xubuntu os. The ninth thing I want to do is run Transcendence on it. =)
