Re: Convenience Functions
What I mean is if you install a shield, and it gets set to 2, until you uninstall it, it's set to 2. If you uninstall it then install another shield, the 2 slot becomes the first open slot, and the new shield fills the 2 slot. That way you can keep your muscle memory for what key does what much more...

We really should make it more obvious somewhere, though, ingame.
Preview edit: dammit RPC, stealing my thunder. i was the one who remembered them too!

Re: Verification of Description
Looking at the weapons xml, it doesn't seem to have any information about the missile speed. Could do some emperical testing? How the comment reads though is that the missile has 5 less speed than normal missiles, though I don't know if that's true offhand.

Firerate calculation?
Dunno where to put this, so popping it into Commonwealth- What's the firerate calculation used in game? Ares Archcannon is 80, with 0.8 shots/sec. The mark I howitzer has a fire rate of 40, but only 1.5 shots/sec. Fast-fire laser is 5, with 10 shots/sec, and bolide laser is 10, at 6 shots per sec. I...

Re: A Small Dialogue on Docking
Because it's known that the Dreadnought is not piloted by the Ranx. It's something known as IFF- Identify, Friend or Foe. It's a transponder that relays a signal stating who you are. While IFFs can be taken from a dead ship and reused, it would take a high level of hacking to get it right- and even ...

Savegames are supposed to be in the same folder as the executable, and sometimes being in the base Trans folder causes a messup. Move it completely out of your base trans folder and into one completely separate, saves with the exe, and you should see it listing them just fine. reason for answer: Wor...

Re: Make plot devices use zero slots.
If that WAS the case, then when you install a Nova 50 you should have 50MW + your stock reactor, not just 50MW. AS it stands, the stock reactor becomes dead weight instead of having any use once you do a single upgrade.

Re: Succession Permadeath game on Dropbox
Dropbox is free and easy to get. I never used it before and was using it easily after just having it for a few hours. It's just like having another set of folders available to you, but that other people can access (if you give them permission).

Armor Recycler and Creator as well as the Dual Omni Mining Laser and the New Ores/Fuel Rods were all rolled into the Mining Pack, and then some, which was a huge collab by WillyTheSquid and TransGeek together. They should be creditted together and the separate items removed from the list.

It'd also be nice to be able to repair armor that isn't equipped.

Re: Protection after StKat
I've tried it in my latest game. It doesn't work. Since Solar claimed it did, and Atarlost claimed it didn't, ran a test to confirm or deny. apparently the ion damage reduction WILL help protect you from it, BUT it doesn't make you completely immune. Can someone then either a) dredge up the correct...

Re: Modulo Bug: 1.06a
Vachra, the problem is that within a single arc, there exists only the degrees 0* through 360*. There are no negative angles- if you were at 0* and added -20 degrees, then you'd not get -20*, but 340*. While more basic arithmetic does allow negatives added to positives, and the existence of negative...
