Re: Protection after StKat
Actually, there's an ion paste Barrels of ion resistance coating does not defend against ion effects, at least not for enemy ships. Ventari ships, which use armor enhanced by ion resistance coating, can be paralyzed by the EMP cannon. Like I said, was tested by Solar_Geo to confirm. Seemed to work ...

Re: Shipwrecks
I know Quickloot allows the scuttling of ships, but I don't like how... cheaty it makes the game feel (quicklooting, not scuttling).

Re: Bug Trac for Mining Pack v1.03
Did extensive testing with the fuel use and have not had any issues with it, before and current. If Twir is still having fuel issues, then he's either modded some numbers on his end without remembering/telling us, or another mod he has installed is affecting it.

Re: Protection after StKat
Actually, there's an ion paste in http://wiki.neurohack.com/transcendence/wiki/game/items/ion_resistance_coating which, if you look, provides EMP/device damage/blinding/ion resistance and is much easier to obtain. Whether it's a bug or not I cannot say but emperical testing with a plate modified wit...

Re: Korolov Containers Sellable?
"The base value given for these is just a placeholder. The actual value is assigned when the mission is given, and is mostly based on the type of freighter and the players Korolov rank." So apparently it's based on the value appropriate to the mission and not the placeholder base value (which I thin...

Re: identify tech
Since a lot of things are -more- expensive when identified, not -less-, why does it make sense to not ID it to the person you're selling it to? Not only that, but when you know your market, you'd try to sell things they'd want- Not just go "Oh, yeah, it's a random barrel of X". Now, that's not to sa...

Re: Ore Looting- Why is it so different?
Yes, that first dockscreen doesn't really make much sense to exist, honestly- when you pull all the ore aboard, it puts you back to that, as if you were still docked to ore... When you're not.

Normally, i stay away from modelling software and the like, because I don't have the knack for them. this, though, looks beautiful and best of all is free! how can I say no?

His name is Doom Guy, actually. XDTamagoyaki wrote:Unnamed dude from Doom
For me... Final Fantasy VI, Edgar; the entire cast is pretty badass in various ways though.

Re: Ore Looting- Why is it so different?
I don't want automated looting (especially since it doesn't tell me what I'm looting); I want, in vanilla, the looting of mined ore to follow the same loot format as every other lootable. It's a real muscle memory curse to dock against it, hit L to [L]oot, only to [L]eave for no reason, when normall...

Re: ICX missile defense and longreach autocannon
Could an "overfaction" of friendly factions be made (the Huari would count until you kill one, perhaps?) that encompasses all the friendly type of factions for the purpose of ICX and them, just to disable friendly fire for automated systems?

Sometimes you gotta shut down trans via ctrl-alt-del because it's borking up (either a mod, or something else isn't playing nice in the background). Having that be counted as 'resurrected' is not cool. ;_;

Re: Docking ports question
shane, i think that's actually because shipping is the lifeblood of any gov't, and if you cut into it then you're indirectly attacking the gov't. After all, who is to say that the freighter you hit isn't carrying merch and/or supplies for the Commonwealth, not just Corporate stuff?
