One Idea I had for too large AI groups is that if a ship detected more than (whatever group size is most effective) of the same ship type and same faction, then the group will split into two groups which will attempt to attack the target from different directions. By the time you've reached Ares space you should be using Tier III weapons (this means Ion/Thermo) once you break an ares turret, loot it's Positron cannon, use the fasbricator if you can't get one intact. I found the Goron capital ships to be one of the most annoying enemies in the game, because I had insufficient slots to mount a longreach.

It really depends on the mod in question: No list currently exists of which mods are compatible: some mods will work fine and some will be totally broken because of newer TLisp versions, however AFAIK TLisp is mostly backwards compatible between versions, so really you should just try the mods and s...
