Cubes, roms, barrels and crystals cannot be identified in the vanilla game any other way then using them. I find it is best to hoard them until you are ready to upgrade your equipment and test the items on your old equipment while sitting safely beside the station you plan on upgrading at. Roms wil...

I rarely do the arena when I first hit it, instead I go on, boosting my shields, armor or weapon a bit, find another black market. Often St. K's is the very next system with the next system or the one after that having either a black market or a black market dry dock. For the quest all you need to d...

Tithe....
I know that this will seem like nitpicking, but I think it is important for us to understand what a 'tithe' is in order for a player to understand what they are doing when they are 'tithing' at the Sisters. Tithe, something in the game that the Sisters want or 'offer you to give', but not fully expl...

Navigation computer/Auto Pilot - brainstorm/thoughts.
I have been playing using the Mining Mule mod. I go with it moving slowly observing its agile movements in space, sort of a dance, one that my human reflexes and key pounding can't match. Actually the Mining Mule is a Godsend, it has saved me many hours of pain and frustration attempting to mind, do...

The ability to change ships gives one the ability to change the whole structure of the game. Currently we start off with one vessel that doesn't change much in appearance, but it appears to have nearly unlimited potential to take on better equipment. It would make more sense that heavier weapons and...

Look at Earth, in the past 50 years or so we have managed to make lower earth orbit a hazard to travel in/through with our 'space junk'. Even without habitats in space we have managed to put hundreds if not thousands of artificial moons in orbit; some useful, others mere scraps of older machines tha...

But red is the universal way of saying "bad". Or stop. Yes, but is it really bad to take a bit of damage on your armor when you are close to finishing off a foe? "Warning" "Yield" "Caution" are also yellow in the 'real world'. a color blind mode could be a good idea for future versions of the game....

Re: Now, just how old (or young) am I supposed 2b?
In the Eridani system, I was asked of my ship: "Did your mom and dad buy it for you?" (mummy and daddy in 0.99c, when I started playing). Then systems later someone called me an old-timer, to which I almost replied with an universally understood finger symbol (understood even by the Iocrym, since i...

Clear - I'm reviving an old thread - this monster might be dangerous lol I played (past tense) that death was death. If I died I started again. However I never got much beyond St. K's. Now I'm playing to see the end, thus if I die I continue the game. I'm using the Millennium Falcon by TazzMann: htt...

Homelessness is a real issue in Trancendence.
How Sad, whole families are living in cargo containers way out beyond the stations. Instead of being annoyed perhaps I can offer to take them to The Sisters to where my contributions of rice, food and cash can be used to make the homeless homeful? Of course the Sisters will take caskets of dead slav...

RED FLASHING WARNING = Taking Damage... but...
Now that I have armor of 200 HP as soon as my shields are down the Flash of Red actually seems to be more of an annoyance than a 'help'. I have gotten to the habit of ignoring it since I have more HP than I did when I first started. When I first started being hit after the shields used up was a good...

Mind, your first purchase of illegals for the Victorian Club (Commonwealth stations have these clubs, the Art Sector at St. K) should be a lot in order to get the attention of the Mob Boss. You will have to purchase and the sell then return to a black market and you will be 'asked' to be seen by Da'...

Of Devices and Cubes....
Barrels and Roms one can use even if you don't need them (like the autopilot Rom) and then you know what you have. I have installed 'devices' like the Asgard Systems one and it never, ever tells me what it is. Cubes I need a CPU and then when I have the CPU there are cubes that tell me nothing when ...
