Re: Is it possible to get/set data related to capacitors/tem

Good news, PM, it is all possible! For the R-Type hold-to-charge cannon: <ItemType UNID="&itMiningLaserCannon;" name= "dual mining laser cannon" level= "3" value= "10000" mass= "5000" frequency= "rare" modifiers= "MajorItem; EnergyWeapon" description= "Twin mining lasers with linked fire controls, w...

Re: Obstruction removal kit

C'mon, be more creative, there are so many ways to remove a pteravore or other overlay at the moment. In the spirit of a roguelike, I've tested all of the following to work: 1. Crate bomb (8 XM900s per crate, might need more than one crate, 10 M5s works everytime) 2. Asteroid ejecta (Fire a howitzer...

What fireRate= means

The fireRate parameter in <Weapon> or <autoDefenseDevice> refers the delay between consecutively fired shots in units of ingame seconds. As there are 2 ingame seconds per tick, this implies all odd fireRates are meaningless. In fact, they are rounded up to the next even number. To convert from fireR...

Re: Obstruction removal kit

The best way to remove overlays is to get another ship to shoot them off, preferably with a laser or mass driver.

Try it with the Svalbard, those pteravores can be shot off once the shields are down.

Map Down Arrow key to stop ship

One keybind I always use is mapping Stop to Down Arrow. That Down Arrow would thrust by default is likely unexpected behavior to new players.

Re: CSC America

2) NAMI missiles are homing, thus cannot be dodged and can be fired off boresight [/u]. 4) Gunships in formation do not need to cluster in tail-chase, their maneuver stats are identical so all they need to do is copy the exact movements of the target Wolfen to cancel them out. If this is done, the ...

Re: CSC America

So the lasers are all reflected, 2/3 of the missiles are shot down (ICX fires twice as fast and is assumed to target different missiles), and the other third could theoretically be shot down by the omni tev-9. So if the super wolfen stands still and acts like a target, it can ignore the shots from ...

Re: CSC America

A player Wolfen armed with an omni Tev 9 can destroy many times its cost in stock(dual turbo + NAMI) Wolfens A surprisingly common misconception. For the price of one omni TeV9 (60000), one could have 10 NAMI missile launchers, 10 dual turbolasers, and 300 Stilettos (10000 + 35000 + 15000). For eac...

Re: CSC America

IRC, so I'm not sure of the validity of it. It's the main argument I've heard against my "All the centurion/X's defected" argument for why the Britannia might exist. The Centurion/X is identical to the Britannia, with the exception of the missilepod. Rama pilots a Centurion/X, noted to be a Centuri...

Re: 2014 Annual Report

Will CSC America have multiplayer, different playable factions, or an Ares Campaign? It seems like it could have potential as a full-fledged space RTS. On a side note, would it be possible to establish a Ministry of Records section for CSC America? This could lead into that originally proposed featu...

@FourFire

Alright, tell us how it goes.

Currently reworking the backend for squadron design. It should be working by the end of December.
