Ore Looting- Why is it so different?
Every other thing you dock against to [L]oot uses the L key... but mined ore uses the ring Aboard command, and [L]eave. This starts getting frustrating to muscle memory. Can it be standardized a bit so L isn't the undock command? Appreciated.

Re: When will part II of transcendence will be released ?
1.0X releases are those george considers not that important to warrant a 1.X release- Generally bugfixes and the like. 1.X releases generally are some sort of content release, where it's a major change. 2.0 will be Part II released (which will be basically a whole other game in and of itself, from m...

Re: Make plot devices use zero slots.
Reactor being slotless instead of costing a slot would also free up that slot for the device of plot advancement.

Re: Succession Permadeath game on Dropbox
I'm assuming he means standard DF succession fort style rules, but shrunk down to the appropriate timeframe.Star Weaver wrote:I might be up for this, but I've only been beyond St K's like twice myself.
Also, what's the difference between a rotation and one star per person?

Re: Make plot devices use zero slots.
Why does the reactor count for a device slot, anyways? You'd think that upgrading it would involve replacing the current one, which already has a placement, no?

I'd definitely like something like that enabled. Maybe incorporate the high score saving into the save file so it's all inclusive?

Re: Wild Mass Guessing
Because we haven't earned our place, then. All that would prove is that we're at least able to emulate monkeys to the level of pressing a button. To get there -on our own power- is where it seems to stand. A test, perhaps a rite of passage... Though it could be entirely that it was supposed that the...

Re: Wild Mass Guessing
I am proposing that the Iocrym may be something more akin to a heat-seeking missile; an entity with free will has set the Iocrym in motion, but their actions are purely deterministic. If you are being pursued by a missile, it is not because you are at war with missiles. something more akin to the C...

Re: Wild Mass Guessing
Most certainly they could, as a race, be more analogous to the Geth- I was saying it from the perspective of the interaction involved, in that they might not be so bad as a whole, yet the driving force behind why they're blocking the exit to the QZ (Domina, no?) could be a right jerk, and so while y...

Re: Smart Cannon Rounds :
i'm not saying they shouldn't be still sellable- forced min. value of 1 credit, for example. But they shouldn't be massively marketable like you're suggesting. 25/27 credits per shot when you're carrying 1000's of shots around is just ridiculous levels of credits esp. from ammo alone.

Swarm AI Issues
When there's 10~ ships, they tend to use relatively smart tactics- Coasting around their target in a rough circle, shifting constantly but keeping a good distance away, pelting it from all sides. ...However, add 10 or more to the mix, and suddenly all pretense of tactics goes out the window and they...

1.08b interesting Iocrym quirk/possible minor bug?
So, I spawned an Iocrym command ship on the start screen for laughs and giggles, and was duly surprised when I watched a swarm of about 40 Ares Sandstorms tear it apart. It kept trying to fire its Quantumsphere weapon, but their Lightning Cannons kept destroying the massive shot, and with so many th...
