You can jettison items out of your ship which leaves an abandoned cargo crate. Scavenger Nomads won't steal them in the Eridani, Rigel and St Kats systems. Excellent. Thanks for doing this. I learnt more in the 30 minutes I spent looking at this than from about 10 hours crawling through more advanced code. Nicely laid out and well explained. My only suggestion would be to put even more comments in.

I might have a go at putting a rin balance at the bottom of the dockscreens (like the small PgUp/PgDn text). Not very elegant but functional.

In previous versions (1.1 for sure, not sure after that) the HUD wasn't on when you started the game. You had to manually scan for friendly and enemy stations. You couldn't scan unless the HUD was on. It was an annoying thing because you missed stations if you didn't notice the HUD was off. Not real...

How to turn off white line stargate effect?

I like the white line stargate effect when you are gating between systems but sometimes it seems to go on for a long time.

Anyone know how to disable it except by changing graphics quality to minimum? Or cut it down to a certain length of time? It appears to run for a random length of time.
